Landscape Maintenance

Mulching

One of the quickest ways to get your landscape looking fresh is to apply a new layer of mulch. Mulch can either be dropped and delivered, or we can provide an estimate for our crew to spread it. We carry shredded hardwood, with our triple-shredded chocolate being the most popular. For new beds, we recommend a 4-layer, and every couple of years we recommend topdressing with 2-3″. An application of mulch not only blocks weeds; it also helps to hold moisture, provides an insulation blanket and adds nutrients to the soil.

Planting/Trimming

Our landscape designs include trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and bulbs. The soil that we use is enriched for planting. Greenscape maintenance workers fertilize, deadhead and divide plantings to promote optimal growth and strength. We also offer tree and shrub trimming. Each plant has specific pruning requirements to maintain their size and flowering. When we perform this maintenance, we dispose of the debris.

Bed Edging

Bed edging is done when mulch is being applied to make a clean edge for a planting bed or tree base.  Over the years, the definition between your planting bed and your lawn often blurs. Using a power edger is a quick way to restore a finished appearance.

Pond Maintenance

In order to keep your pond looking its best, maintenance is essential. Most pond clients ask us to provide a series of bacteria and enzyme treatments to ensure proper pond health. We also offer everything else your pond may require, including cleaning the stones and falls as well as checking to make sure your pumps and transformers are working properly.
